As part of  Joplin Public Schools rebuilding process The District made a commitment to pursue FEMA tornado Safe Rooms in each of their new schools. This safe room is on of 2 integrated safe room in Joplin’s new Irving Elementary school. This safe room features windows, bright colors and functions as specialized classroom space.
