Iberia Schools Safe Room

The school serves grades Pre-K thru 12th grade.  The FEMA 361 Safe room is designed for a population of 1,055 (total students, teachers, staff and Community use).  The FEMA Safe room will be approximately 6,800 sf +/- and is anticipated to be a Multi-Purpose space, a space which will be available for indoor PE (Physical Education) and other indoor recreation activities.  The Safe room will also have rest room facilities for use by teachers and staff, necessary Mechanical room space, storage space for FEMA supplies (ie: water, flashlights, emergency first aid supplies, etc…) and a hardened room for the Emergency back-up power generator.

Another high-quality project completed by Sapp Design, an education architectural firm in the Springfield, Missouri area.
