Joplin Fire Station #4

The Joplin Fire Department’s new Fire Station No. 4 will be located at the intersection of Hearnes Blvd. and 34th Street to serve the city of Joplin in Newton County, Missouri.  The new two story station will be a traditional red brick fire house with detailing to reflect some of the historical features of earlier historic stations that previously served the district.  The design will have sustainable amenities including a high performance building envelope and high efficient mechanical systems.  The 6,800 square foot station will include living quarters for shifts of up to five fire fighters as well as two bays for apparatus and equipment.  In addition, it will also has a safe room for the building occupants during inclement weather.

Another high-quality project completed by Sapp Design, an education architectural firm in the Springfield, Missouri area.
