Scott Regional Technology Center

Formerly the Southwest Area Career Center, this facility serves sixteen area high schools.  Its layout utilizes central Commons areas with administrative offices, distance learning, and delta classrooms.  The Commons area serves as the ‘hub’ separating the general classroom wing and the Industrial Arts wing.

The general classroom wing offers classes for culinary arts, health, drafting, computer programming & networking, and an operating child care program.

The Industrial Arts wing consists of shop areas, diesel technology, construction technology, agriculture, welding technology, machine tool technology, and JROTC programs.

Classroom expansions were necessary within two years of the original opening to accommodate the tremendous growth in the Career program.  This included new Business Labs and Delta Classrooms.

Another high-quality project completed by Sapp Design, an education architectural firm in the Springfield, Missouri area.
