Project Architect

Location: Springfield and Kansas City

Sapp Design is seeking a full-time licensed Architect to become part of our team. The ideal candidate would have a professional degree, be licensed, with 3-10 years of experience, and have proficient skills in Revit, rendering, and a portfolio with completed commercial or public projects.

Primary Responsibilities

Balance multiple project commitments, sectors, and deadlines.

Participate in planning, designing, illustrating, & presenting project ideas and vision.

Compiling storyboards and material selection based on client needs in preparation for client presentations.

Coordinate with project consultants for interior design, materials, and interior architecture solutions.

Work with the project team to ensure the project meets the Owner’s Vision and Sapp Design goals.

Collaborate on a wide variety of project types and sizes from conception through construction.

Assistance with preparation and presentation of construction drawings, 3-part specifications, and coordinating details and dimensions.

developing and refining design concepts, renderings, and working on projects in all design phases.

Knowledge of construction documents and detailing.

Managing the financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget.

Desired Qualifications

Accredited Degree in Architecture

Licensed, required.

Proficient in 3D modeling and rendering: Sketch-Up, Rhino, Enscape or other platforms.

Ability to communicate ideas in a variety of graphic media including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Proficiency with Revit 2021, required.

Strong verbal, organizational, and written communication skills.

Strong presentation skills.

Strong consultant coordination, drawing, and design skills, including experience in the construction administration phase.

Team-focused attitude, willing to assist others as necessary.

Ability to create new ideas both independently and in collaboration

Must have a valid driver’s license

Interior Designer

Location: Springfield, Mo

Position Description: Sapp Design Architects is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to join our team as a collaborative member in a blended design approach. The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, with 5+ years of experience, and a portfolio with completed commercial or public projects. This individual would possess and apply interior design principles, practices, and procedures to complete assignments with originality and creativity.

Primary Responsibilities

Participate in planning, designing, illustrating, & presenting project ideas and vision.

Compiling storyboards and material selection based on client needs in preparation for client presentations.

Coordinate with project consultants for interior design, materials, and interior architecture solutions.

Work with the project team to ensure the project meets the Owner’s Vision and Sapp Design goals.

Collaborate on a wide variety of project types and sizes from conception through construction.

Assistance with preparation and presentation of construction drawings, 3-part specifications, checking and coordinating details and dimensions, developing and refining design concepts, renderings, and working on projects in all design phases.

Knowledge of construction documents and detailing. •Supporting marketing efforts and graphics as required.

Desired Qualifications

A professional degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.

5+ years’ experience, preferred.

Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphics software.

Proficiency with Revit preferred.

Ability to communicate ideas in a variety of graphic media, preferably Adobe Suite.

Excels in critical thinking and has a passion for quality design.

Collaborative and professional work ethic.

Knowledge of FF&E to carry out design intent. •Strong verbal, organizational, and written communication skills.

Revit Specialist

Location: Springfield,Mo

Position Description: Sapp Design Architects is a collaborative, community-focused firm known for innovative design across K-12 schools, libraries, performing art centers, and other public sectors – where great ideas and people have room to grow and develop.Position Description: Sapp Design Architects is seeking a full-time REVIT Specialist to join our team as a collaborative member in a blended design approach. The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for designing and drafting project concepts, plans, and construction documents for various architectural projects, such as commercial and industrial facilities.

Familiar with CAD and REVIT software.

Create and manage an Architectural model.

Modify Engineering CAD and REVIT models to link and/ or integrate them with the Architectural model.

Work independently, think critically and proactively, and work efficiently in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Coordinate a building’s engineering system with sub-consultants.

Communicate with staff and consultants.

Handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.

Working with Architects and mentoring less-experienced staff, regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards, and design documentation.

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.

Read and interpret Architectural drawings and specifications.

Read and interpret Engineering plans and documents.

Work on a project team, providing support as needed for various items from conception through the end of construction.
