Nixa Community Center

The Nixa Community Center located ing McCauley Park, a 37-acre park, provides a variety of  recreational experiences for the entire community. The park consists of a community/recreation facility, aquatics park, children’s playground, walking trails, picnic pavilions, and athletic fields. The 35,000 square foot community center was designed to offer total community fitness and recreation opportunities for the residents of Nixa, Missouri.

The Center’s primary functions are grouped within three general activity pods: community spaces, recreation/fitness spaces and city park offices. The areas are organized along two distinctive axes as the circular reception desk serves as the control/pivot point. The control point is where the Park Department offices are located and where views for control are provided to all major activity areas. The community area is composed of a lounge area, classrooms, daycare, game area, and a multi-function & community room with kitchen. The recreation spaces include a two-court gymnasium, walking track, fitness/cardiovascular areas, aerobics, dry changing and family changing room. The Aquatic Park is approximately 11,500 square feet of water space and was designed by Larkin Aquatics. It has two water slides, play & water features, swimming lanes, diving boards, shade structures, wet changing rooms and full service concessions. McCauley Park, a 37-acre park, provides a variety of community & recreational experiences for the entire community.
