Senior Interior Designer

Sapp Design Architects, located in Springfield, Missouri, is seeking a new leadership position to develop our Interior design department. The Ideal candidate is an Interior Designer with 8+ years of experience in a wide variety of public/privet commercial projects. This dynamic individual will build the firm’s workplace interiors practice and assist in various business development activities. This successful candidate will provide high-level design guidance and leadership to project teams throughout. 

Our Vision for this position is a designer that can dive in deeper than just “finishes and furniture selection”, but is an integral part of the design process, seamlessly working with Architects on day one of our design processes to apply space planning methodology and aesthetic visioning. 

Sapp Design Architects specializes in providing innovative design services for the following market sectors:  educational facilities, public libraries, corporate offices, municipal facilities, recreational facilities, and private development. Required:

  • 4-year degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Minimum of 8+ years full-time experience as an Interior Designer 

Responsibilities will include :

  • Interior architectural space planning and overall design/concept
  • Organizes own work efforts to meet project and office objectives
  • Responsible for keeping the project, or a phase of a project, on schedule.
  • Responsible for selection and specification of interior materials and finishes, furniture, lighting, and artwork
  • FF&E material Selections and Specifications 
  • Millwork design and detailing 
  • Client contract and presentations (2d and 3d)
  • Produces reviews and finalizes space plans for projects
  • Extensive knowledge of detailing and finalizes details on projects 
  • Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages
  • Review and help produce final cost estimates
  • Attending Tradeshows
  • Meeting with Vendors
  • Ability to manage others as the department grows.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess creative talent  in conceptual design
  • Ability to work in a team environment  
  • Strong Revit Skills Preferred
  • Adobe suite ( InDesign, Photoshop, and illustrator) 
  • MS Office 
  • Strong Communication and graphics skills 
  • Ability to participate and contribute to interview preparation and marketing efforts.

Project Architect

Sapp Design Associates Architects, located in Springfield, Missouri, is seeking a Project Architect to work on a large variety of public and private projects. Our firm promotes both personal and professional growth and offers leadership opportunities in architectural design, graphics, marketing, project management and various aspects of the business. We value the “well-rounded” individual that enjoys community involvement, and we offer extensive training opportunities and experiences in all aspects of architecture. The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative, motivated, tech-savvy individual that is comfortable working with all levels of company leadership.

A qualified candidate will be a licensed Architect with 1-2 years minimum experience who is a team-oriented individual devoted to client satisfaction. Candidates should have effective communication skills as well as the ability to present confidently to clients and in internal design charettes. The candidate must be able to manage and produce documents on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include all phases of design from Master Planning and Concept Design through Construction Administration phases, Project Management, and client contact. REVIT experience is a must. SketchUp, 3ds max and Adobe creative suite experience is preferred.

Required Skills for Project Architect:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Proficiency with Revit
  • Multitasking skills are a must
  • Candidates should be organized, ambitious, positive-minded individuals
  • Candidates must have the ability to manage the design of multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously, Consult with clients on the job site, and have excellent communication skills.

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator)
  • Experience with rendering and modeling software (preferably Sketchup, 3DS Max, lumion)
  • Experience with various VR software and workflows

 Architectural Designer / Entry Level:

The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative, motivated, tech-savvy individual. You will be working side-by-side with project managers and firm leaders that will mentor you to Licensure.
